Alternative Surf, founded in 1995, is the only bodyboard and accessories retailer in the United States with 2 retail locations and a web store. Our company is dedicated to the sport of bodyboarding exclusively and is run by former pro-bodyboarder and true sport afficionado, Ron Ziebell.

Alternative Surf opened its doors in Seal Beach, CA in 1995; a few years later we opened our Dana Point store and in 2004 we open our online store.

Ron's mission with Alternative Surf is to continue to be the #1 source of bodyboard equipment in the United States and South America, bringing the greatest selection, best equipment at the best prices for all fellow bodyboarder from newcomers, advanced riders to experts.

Bodyboarder friends from all over the world stop by our stores when they come to California or stop in California on the way to search for waves.
