"Everyday we see new faces and they always come back", says owner Tony Carbonara. Open for thirteen years, Tony is joined by his wife Mary Carbonara in the day to day operation, and they make you feel like part of the family. Reservations are strongly recommended, as the wait can be lengthy on weekends.

Carbonara's is located in the heart of the historic downtown business district of San Clemente, the beautiful "Spanish Village By The Sea". After dinner, stroll down Avenida Del Mar and window shop, and within a few blocks visit the famous San Clemente pier.

Carbonara's is a community-involved dining establishment offering an excellent blend of both northern and southern Italian dishes. Daily specials are superb and affordable. Particular favorites include: Osso Bucco, a slow cooked veal shank served with risotto Milanese, veal chop served with a mouth watering porcini mushroom demi-glaze, and lamb chops served in a marsala wine mint sauce. Fresh fish specials include swordfish, salmon, seabass and halibut. A variety of pasta specials are offered nightly. Prices for the nightly specials range from $10.95 to $21.95. Freshly made desserts and cappuccino are always available to round off the evening.

Chef Rocco aims to please, and is happy to prepare dishes not on the menu, as long as the ingredients are available. Special orders such as "no oil" and "no garlic" are "no problem". All dinners include your choice of soup or salad.
